What was sparkle which made you create with your brother Grown Alchemist?

After working for many years as consultants in product and brand development, Keston and I decided to move towards the natural side of the skincare market. It was during this shift that we saw our clinical results were demonstrating improved cellular function when exposed to natural ingredients. This realisation gave birth the Grown Alchemist. We are passionate about being able to create products that are what we visualised fully without having to compromise is perhaps the most satisfying part of our business endeavour and what continually motivates us.

Why the organic products of Grown Alchemist are better than other from the industry?

At Grown Alchemist we have formulated skincare solutions that serve our clients from a functional AND ethical perspective, tied together with premium recyclable packaging that elevates an organic skincare product to a luxurious beauty experience. That’s the hallmark of who we are at the core, a premium clean beauty brand.  This combined with our relentless pursuit of incorporating the highest grade of organic, active ingredients is what we believe sets our brand apart from others in the industry.

We know cleansing and hydration are crucial. Why is the detox step so important as well?

Many people don’t realize that some of the most chronic complexion conditions (acne, eczema and inflammation) are our biological response to the accumulation of toxins in the human body. Our skin is constantly being exposed to external stressors which trigger this response such as pollution, environmental debris, blue-light emissions and harmful synthetics found in common cosmetics. This is why we place such importance on the detoxification process when it comes to maintaining a healthy, youthful complexion.

Among all your products, what are your favorite ones and why? What makes them so special compared to other similar products? 

We have so many essential products to experience and enjoy in our range but it’s only natural to have a favourite. When it comes to skincare, detoxification is a process I take very seriously; both personally and professionally. Our Detox Serum Antioxidant +3 protects the skin from the complete force of not only oxygen – generated free radicals; but also, those created carbons and nitrogen. Its one product I always recommend for those looking for rapid results. In only two weeks of twice daily usage, the skin is deeply detoxified, glowing and hydrated.

Another one of my personal favourite products is our Instant Smoothing Serum which is formulated using a complex-combination of plant-derived high, medium and low weight hyaluronan molecules; that delivers an instant lifting effect through intense hydration, rapidly smoothing the skin’s surface. This formulation is ideal for use as an intensive hydrating treatment, counteracting the negative effects that sunburn, windburn and air-conditioning can have on the skin. I also recommend this serum as the perfect instant plumping and priming product to use before an evening out!

What is your next project? 

This is still under wraps until our officially launch in early 2019 but what I can say is that we have formulated an elegant solution for the discerning cosmetic customer looking to elevate their skincare regime with dramatic results (sans surgery). We are extremely proud of the innovation that has gone into this exclusive range and can’t wait to share it with the rest of the world.
