Comme des Garçons

Founded in 1969 by the designer Rei Kawakubo, Comme des Garçons is marked by an avant-garde universe and an artistic approach to fashion. The Comme des Garçons perfume collection was launched in 1994 with the perfumer Mark Buxton, who created the first fragrances; each fragrance is unisex and discrete, often marked by rare woody and spicy notes. The first fragrance, CDG Eau de Parfum, has marked the history of perfumery with its floral chypré notes.
In 1992, Rei Kawakuo started a collaboration with the artist Christian Astuguevieille, who became in 1994 the artistic director of Comme des Garçons Parfums, marked by stone-shaped flasks. He then decided each fragrance to be inspired by a leitmotiv: "stimulate the five senses, shake the perceptions, always wonder."
