Associating the oud with India: this is the vision that Clara Molloy transmitted to Juliette Karagueuzoglou for the creation of Indian Leather. This delicate and extravagant combination celebrates the essence of Indian leather, both sumptuous and subtle, awakening memories of a unique land. We hear the legends of the maharajahs, the venerated presence of sacred animals and the centuries-old traditions of offerings.
The leather accord unfolds around the base of cypriol, a precious plant that grows along Indian rivers. Known to promote romantic success, it traditionally impregnated women's saris to protect the hearts of men. With its powerful, rich and smoky notes, cypriol provides a deep sensory texture. Juliette Karagueuzoglou enriches this composition with the captivating essence of patchouli and oud, as well as captivating absolutes of Turkish rose and jasmine.
On the bottle, the graceful and monumental shape of the elephant is elegantly sculpted, embodying the spiritual animal of the Indians for centuries. A symbol of peace, mental strength and power, it enhances the essence of this unique perfume.
Memo fragrances are the result of a work carried out between the artistic director Clara Molloy and her husband John. The brand, founded in 2007, imagines perfume as a journey and builds its identity around magical destinations and intense raw materials evoking the travel memories of the founders: her, a Parisian poet with Catalan origins; him, and Irish globe-trotter and sportsman.
