description
According to Greek mythology, perfumes often form idylls and metamorphoses. Thus, the mint owes its inimitable scent to the nymph Minthé, changed into a fragrant leaf by the god Hades. Diptyque reinterprets the classic accord fougère, through the mint. In this perfume, the freshness of the mint is underlined by the geranium which shares with the latter common molecules. Patchouli brings depth to this duo.

Diptyque

The brand was founded in 1961 by three singular personalities united by a strong aesthetic alchemy: Christiane Montadre-Gautrot, Yves Coueslant and Desmond Knox-Leet. Fed with a common passion for drawing, they start creating motifs for fabrics and wallpapers, and decide to open their first shop with two entrances (like a diptych) in Paris, Boulevard Saint Germain.
