description
Santa Maria Novella returns to the source with this new collection of "Firenze 1221" candles, its box delightfully inspired by the frescoes in the San Niccolo chapel, the brand's emblematic shop/museum, proudly displays the Medici family seal on its lid, while its label takes up the original design of the original apotic products. A unique selection of flowers, leaves and roots that thrive in the heart of the gentle Tuscan hills. Pot Pourri, one of the brand's most emblematic creations, is celebrated and appreciated the world over. The green, aromatic notes of the Bougie Parfumée, Firenze 1221 edition, transform every space into an exceptional olfactory landscape. Made in Florence from carefully selected raw materials, this creation embodies the superior quality that characterizes the craftsmanship of Santa Maria Novella. Our tip: for the first use, leave the candle lit until the wax is uniformly liquid on the surface. Extinguish with a lid, trim evenly to 3-5 mm and center the wick. Avoid placing a burning candle in direct contact with a surface, and don't let it burn for more than 3 hours at a time. The candle's burn time is approximately 50 hours.

Santa Maria Novella

Born in 1221, the Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella is considered the oldest pharmacy in the world. Founded by Dominican friars, its history began when they had access to Santa Maria Inter Vineas, a small church outside Florence. There they cultivated herbs and plants in its garden to make medicines, ointments and balms. In 1334, Santa Maria Novella became known for treating a wealthy merchant from one of the most powerful families in Florence. Today the house is known worldwide for its perfumes, candles and "traditional preparations".
