description
Cire Trudon revives the beautiful tradition of wax sculptures that are often collected, rather than being consumed. Louise and Alexandre were the children of the architect Alexandre-Théodore Brongniart (1739-1813), famous for the construction of the Paris Stock Exchange and the transformation of the Père Lachaise cemetery. The two busts remained in the Brongniart family until their acquisition by the Louvre. The wax portrait of Alexandre reflects the liveliness and innocence of the child with his disordered hair.

Trudon

Founded by Claude Trudon in 1643, the Maison Trudon quickly became the Royal Wax Manufacture. In the court, the light of the Cire Trudon candles danced on the walls of Versailles, lit the French corridors and were appreciated from Louis XIV to Napoleon, in all the major churches of the country. A legacy which is shared and renewed today by the brand with immense pleasure.
