Composed by Jordi Fernández, Blue Talisman is a floral woody musk built around a bright fruit-spice opening and a clean, modern woody base. Mandarin and pear bring crisp juiciness, while ginger cuts through the sweetness and keeps the opening lively. Orange blossom adds a floral softness, then musks and Akigalawood extend the formula into a dry, diffusive trail. The result is fresh, fruity and woody, but with enough musk to feel polished rather than transparent.
Fernández’s formula works by giving brightness a precise frame. Pear and mandarin could make the perfume purely fresh, but ginger and Akigalawood add tension, giving the fragrance a sharper and more urban profile. Created in 2023 for Ex Nihilo’s 10th anniversary, Blue Talisman was imagined as a hypnotic jewel and lucky charm for the skin. Echoing the Place Vendôme spirit near which the house was born, it turns Ex Nihilo’s signature blue into a radiant floral woody musk.
