Althair by Parfums de Marly is a contemporary celebration of a classic perfumery ingredient: Bourbon vanilla, a direct descendant of that introduced to France during the reign of Louis XV. A woody, oriental, spicy composition that creates a luminous and powerful projection on the skin, with an elegant and generous tonka/musk accord and an overdose of vanilla.
Fascinated by the beauty, refinement and excellence of the 18th century, the company's founder, Julien Sprecher, decided to found Parfums de Marly in 2009. A true tribute to the Chateau of Louis XV, a palace of pleasures, where the most extravagant and exclusive parties took place. The king's court was so obsessed with perfume that it was nicknamed the ‘court of perfumes’: pouches, fans, gloves and even fountains were bathed in fragrance. The House aims to revive the splendours of a golden age of perfumery.
