A guest ingredient is introduced into each creation to reveal new, unsuspected facets of the note. For Santal Austral Extrait, Aurélien Guichard infuses cardamom, giving life to a woody, amber, spicy fragrance.
From the first moment, the fragrance seduces with warm notes of cinnamon. At the heart of the fragrance, cardamom, both noble and spicy, blends harmoniously with the powdery elegance of iris. This black cardamom, developed exclusively for Matiere Premiere, reveals a unique smoky dimension. In the base, benzoin mixes with cedar to anchor the fragrance in a woody and resinous richness, while a subtly sweet touch of ethyl maltol perfects the dark and gourmet image of Santal Austral Extrait.
The bottles of the Extraits collection retain the iconic cubic and angular shape of the classic collection, but adopt a smoked glass to accentuate the intensity of this edition.
