NUIT DE BAKELITE - NAOMI GOODSIR
A haunting tuberose
Naomi Goodsir’s artistic DNA blends a couture sensibility with unconventional, expressive perfumery. In 2017, perfumer Isabelle Doyen created Nuit de Bakélite: a bold, assertive, and highly distinctive composition rather than a “safe” floral.
While often perceived as feminine, it can be interpreted as gender-ambiguous. The central accord, Persian tuberose, is sharp, green, and camphoraceous, framed by angelica root, leather, tomato leaf, and galbanum.
Nuit de Bakélite was featured in “111 Perfumes to Smell Before Dying” by Nez La Revue and received the “Best Niche & Independent Brand Fragrance” award at the FiFi Awards France 2018. Almost a decade after its release, the fragrance proves it was ahead of its time, still feeling as if it belongs to the future.

TILIA - MARC ANTOINE BARROIS
A yellow-floral blend of linden and orange blossom
Marc-Antoine Barrois’ first floral creation received a FiFi Award in several categories and shows the potential to become a modern classic. Quentin Bisch imagined Tilia as a walk beneath flowering linden trees.
But here’s the twist: the perfume’s composition is built around orange blossom, complemented by lime tree, jasmine, broom, and heliotrope. This combination evokes the presence of linden blossom and gives a clear floral signature, rather than an abstract one. In the dry-down, ambroxan, cedarwood, and vanilla create a warm, enveloping sensation, adding rich nuances to this feminine-leaning floriental.

IMPADIA - BDK PARFUMS
A Parisian sunset with elegance
One of the current trends in the perfume industry is intensity and exceptional longevity. Impadia by BDK Paris exemplifies these qualities. Its feminine floriental composition is both concise and powerful, lingering on the skin for hours without fading.
A dialogue between blooming flowers and the sunset: that’s how this fragrance was envisioned. It is built around Bulgarian rose, combined with citrus top notes, pear and sugared almond at its heart, and balsams, guaiac wood, and birch in the final phase. Impadia’s base is rich, structured, and dense, ensuring long-lasting persistence: incense, musk, sandalwood, and vanilla complete this chromatic journey.

INGENIOUS GINGER - GOLDFIELD AND BANKS
Red ginger in its natural habitat
A world-first exploration of Australian Red Back Ginger, this oriental floral Eau de Parfum evolves from a fresh, spicy opening of ginger and mandarin to a warm, piquant base of vanilla, amber, and sandalwood.
Perfumer Hamid Merati-Kashani blends citrusy and solar accords with jasmine, magnolia, and patchouli around the Australian indigenous ginger of the Atherton Tablelands. Like other Goldfield & Banks fragrances, Ingenious Ginger has a high concentration (20% essences and botanicals).
The brand considers it one of their best-sellers, suitable for both men and women, though it leans toward a female audience with its effervescent yet comforting character.

ONE UMBRELLA FOR TWO - FLORAIKU
A reverie of Japanese tea ceremony
As haiku poetry is minimalist, so are Floraïky fragrances, and One Umbrella for Two is no exception. Yet it is rich in floral, fruity, and gourmand nuances, creating an almost edible olfactory profile.
Genmaicha tea and black currant are softened by peach (provide this milky note added to the tea), caramel, and musk. The result is a comforting and approachable everyday fragrance with delicate sweetness — more feminine in perception rather than unisex.
