Created by perfumer Annick Menardo, Contre-Jour celebrates the grazing light and contrasts of the sun, at dawn as at dusk. The fragrance is inspired by ancient rituals related to light and purification, where millennial gestures pay tribute to the sun and nature. It evokes the warmth of the first rays, the depth of sacred moments and the brightness of bright mornings, offering an enveloping and timeless experience.
The fragrance opens with coffee and saffron, spicy and vibrant, which immediately install a solar tension. The heart reveals the Rose Absolue, which structures the perfume with elegance. In the background, Immortelle, musk and incandescent Sandalwood envelop the composition with a resinous and persistent warmth, creating a deep, sensual and luminous trail.
