description
For the I Giardini Medicei collection, the Italian house plunges back into the depths of its botanical origins, woven with Florentine history. Quercia, a fragrance that reveals the most subtle and luminous essence of wood. Inspired by the oak of the Villa Medicea di Castello, which has braved the passage of time and the seasons for more than five centuries. Quercia integrates this legend into our daily lives, opening with bright notes of juicy peach and black pepper. At the heart, heliotropine, with sweet accents of vanilla and almond, blends deliciously with the floral tenderness of rose, evoking the mysterious gardens of Tuscan villas. As a base, cashmere wood, soft and enveloping, entwines with the noble robustness of oak, while musk infuses a touch of sensuality, leaving a lasting and captivating imprint.

Santa Maria Novella

Born in 1221, the Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella is considered the oldest pharmacy in the world. Founded by Dominican friars, its history began when they had access to Santa Maria Inter Vineas, a small church outside Florence. There they cultivated herbs and plants in its garden to make medicines, ointments and balms. In 1334, Santa Maria Novella became known for treating a wealthy merchant from one of the most powerful families in Florence. Today the house is known worldwide for its perfumes, candles and "traditional preparations".
