Description
Through me one enters the sorrowful city... wrote Dante at the threshold of Hell. But here, the passage leads elsewhere. Olivia Giacobetti envisions a luminous journey, where hell is no longer punishment but transfiguration: pain becomes beauty, smoke becomes prayer, fire becomes skin. Passage d’Enfer Extrême is the metamorphosis of a place of torment into an inner sanctuary. Incense no longer reigns: it rises, pacified, touched by the whiteness of a lily and the woody tenderness of sandalwood. Hell becomes an offering. The passage becomes celestial. The opening is vivid, brief like a spark. Pink peppercorns burst forth, then gently fade to reveal a clear floral heart. The lily, satiny and still, blooms in a soft penumbra, joined by a breath of jasmine. Incense does not burn: it floats, mineral, pure, almost translucent. Sandalwood rounds out the composition, extended by a warm, soft vanilla, barely whispered.
