Description
Oud Immortel is built around the resinous and revered heart of Aquilaria, a tree transformed when naturally infected by a fungus: it then produces a dark and aromatic resin called oud or agarwood. This essence is mentioned as early as 1400 BCE in the ancient Sanskrit Vedas as a symbol of luxury and spirituality. Oud Immortel embodies this dialogue between nature and time: the slow transformation of the forest becomes a rich and complex olfactory memory. The opening reveals a subtle touch of lemon, combined with a smoky spirituality of incense and cardamom, which establishes an aromatic energy. At its heart, earthy and woody accents of patchouli, papyrus, and Brazilian rosewood bring warmth and depth. At the base, oud, leather, benzoin, and tobacco leaf merge for an intense, mysterious, and lasting trail, evoking the sacred power of agarwood.
