Description

Leonarda is inspired by a figure as fascinating as she is disturbing: Leonarda Cianciulli, whose story oscillates between superstition, maternal love, and a descent into the irreparable. The fragrance does not aim to recount a factual narrative, but to explore that blurred zone where tenderness becomes distorted, where a protective gesture turns into ritual. A creation conceived as a liminal olfactory experience, between repulsion and attraction. The opening strikes with an almost unreal sense of cleanliness: cold, radiant aldehydic notes cut through the composition, pierced by the incisive vibrancy of blood orange, bringing immediate, almost caustic tension. The heart extends this ambiguity with a troubling softness, suggested by a subtle gourmand facet, like a sugary illusion contrasting with the initial sharpness. The base reveals the full density of the composition: a dark, enveloping oud blends with diffusive, mineral ambroxan, while cedar structures the whole with a dry woody framework. Ethyl maltol subtly softens this depth with a sweet, almost deceptive touch. A powerful extrait, deliberately divisive, that questions as much as it seduces—a fragrance of tension, where sweetness and madness coexist in an unstable balance.
