Gypsy Water Absolu

Gypsy Water Absolu, a more intense interpretation of Byredo's iconic fragrance, is revealed more than fifteen years after its original creation. This Absolu edition deepens the tribute to a lifestyle shaped by freedom, wandering, and instinct. Inspired by the nomadic imagination of the Romani people, Gypsy Water evokes a direct relationship with the world, guided by movement and the open air. Carrot seed opens with a dry, earthy sensation, evoking the warm soil trodden along the roads. Iris, at the heart, brings a powdery, muted softness, an intimate counterpoint to the call of the great outdoors. Finally, musk and ambrox envelop the skin in lingering warmth, while pine and ethyl maltol prolong the impression of a camp under the trees, between resin, heated wood, and subtle traces of smoke. The bottle, redesigned for this Absolu edition, features a textured cap inspired by Yakisugi, the Japanese art of charring wood: a nod to transformation, strength, and the beauty that arises from contrast.
