In the midst of the extraordinary woods of the nineteenth century, artisans from the Massachusetts colony built violins and bows in the small towns of the Pioneer Valley. Aged Mahogany, burnt maple shavings, amber pine, aged walnut and varnish, a unique scent.
In 2007, David and Kavi (with Irish and Indian origins respectively) started coloring flowers, herbs and spices to create aftershaves for their friends. When they realized that none of their friends had shaved, they began to mix oils, resins and plant extracts. The results were small batch perfumes and colognes, much appreciated by their friends. Kavi understood that she had to use her architectural know-how and create packaging for these fragrances.
