The Japanese rituals of the Kiso sacred forest become a fragrance: ceremonial katanas, rare wood ointments, incense smokes from the temples, leathery notes of bushi armor.
In 2007, David and Kavi (with Irish and Indian origins respectively) started coloring flowers, herbs and spices to create aftershaves for their friends. When they realized that none of their friends had shaved, they began to mix oils, resins and plant extracts. The results were small batch perfumes and colognes, much appreciated by their friends. Kavi understood that she had to use her architectural know-how and create packaging for these fragrances.
