The name Tihota comes from the Tahitian language and means sugar; on the island of Taha’a, also known as the Vanilla Island, master perfumer Francis Kurkdjian allowed the Polynesian light to reveal the raw sweetness of the pods, choosing to pay homage to this unadorned material, as evident as a warm breath on the skin; the opening reveals the gently roasted roundness of hazelnut, extended at the heart by a honeyed and velvety date; gradually, leathery and musky facets blend, the vanilla intensifies, reminiscent of the caramelized crust of a still-warm crème brûlée; the trail, silky and enveloping, evokes a tropical evening whose warmth is unforgettable.
