A word from the perfumer
Alienor Massenet
Of Hungarian origin, with an aunt who was a painter and grandparents who were pharmacists and chemists, Aliénor Massenet grew up in an environment where sensory perception sharpens naturally. As a child, she amused herself by recognizing the perfumes of passers-by on the metro.
In 1995, she joined IFF New York before moving to IFF Paris, where she developed a singular olfactory signature.
Her hallmark: contrast. She brings together opposing materials and makes them dialogue. Each of her creations bears the imprint of labdanum or myrrh — never in the same proportions, never in the same way. These resins hold a mystical, almost identity-defining dimension for her.
Heir to a sensibility that is both scientific and artistic, Aliénor Massenet creates a perfumery of instinct and precision.
