Description

In 1977, Jean Laporte dared what no one had yet attempted: to make the fresh pulp of a wild blackberry converse with the clarity of white musk, forgetting flowers, discarding the superfluous, creating a shock, muted yet radical, that of a bare sensuality without emphasis; Mûre et Musc is a story of skin and fruit, of gentle insolence and restrained tenderness, a pioneering fragrance that avoids the obvious: neither too sweet nor too floral, but just enough unexpected to become iconic; a burst of citrus pierces the air, sharp and crystalline, then, as if plucked from the edge of a woodland, the blackberry reveals itself: juicy yet still green, sweet just enough, retaining the liveliness of a fruit freshly crushed between fingers; hedione and lily of the valley breathe a vegetal clarity, almost translucent, before white musk envelops everything in a discreet cloud, like warm skin brushed against without daring to linger too long.

"We defend an author's perfumery, where perfumers express themselves without constraints, carried by their own view of nature. No imposed brief, no dictated rules: only the sincerity of the gesture, the accuracy of the materials, and the desire to arouse an emotion count." - Jean Laporte
