The new perfume The Orchid Man by the house of Frapin is inspired by the surprising personality of boxer Georges Carpentier nicknamed in the Americas "The Orchid Man". An accomplished man, "the great Georges" was elegant and resourceful and knew who to skillfully reinvent himself at each phase of his life. A boxer that even tried another English sport, Rugby and at the turn of the 1930s, he showed another talent on the stage. The showman went from Paris to Hollywood. A modern man that was always up for a new adventure, the Orchid Man even opened one of the first succesful cocktail bars in Paris. David Frossard, an expert of the boxing world, took all of this into consideration when he launched the idea for a fresh, elegant, powerful and virile perfume. Perfumer Jérôme Epinette was entrusted with the interpretation of this world which is both animal and cerebral. «First of all I built up the fragrance around an animal leather accord that gives the scent its signature, power, elegance and the iconic aspect of boxing gloves. The patchouli brings hot and humid tones that conjure up the atmosphere in a boxing gym."
