Alto Astral marks a new olfactory chapter at Byredo — a radiant homage to the vibrant emotional landscape of Brazil. Inspired by and named after the Brazilian-Portuguese expression describing an elevated state of mind, Alto Astral captures the essence of optimism, movement, and cultural expression through fragrance. Seen through a local lens, this creation embodies a higher frequency that connects stories of dance, music, and urban life — embracing their singular energies while celebrating the richness that diversity brings to the country’s culture. More than a perfume, it is a true exploration of cultural identity: an experience to be shared, felt, and savored.
Composed by longtime and exceptional perfumer Jérôme Epinette, Alto Astral opens with an addictive coconut note fused with the vibrant brightness of aldehydes. The fragrance unfolds in a fruity intensity that dynamically balances freshness with addiction, creating a sparkling, gourmand experience. At its heart, incense mingles with jasmine petals and milky musk, deepening the composition before melting into a woody trail of sandalwood, cashmere, and salted amber. A continuous diffusion of intensity lingers in the air, leaving behind a wake of positive energy.
Presented in Byredo’s iconic bottle, the fragrance remains true to the house’s minimalist design: clean lines, heavy glass, and the signature magnetic black cap. A simple white label bears the name Alto Astral, allowing the fragrance itself to speak in its purest simplicity.
