404: Not Found. This well-known error code here becomes an olfactory manifesto. Leather 404, imagined by Francis Kurkdjian, revisits the iconic Dream in Leather by infusing it with an almost airy lightness. Neither entirely leather nor truly expected, it blurs the lines and appeals to those who reject predefined norms. Like a borrowed, shared, reinvented jacket, it subverts gender codes and celebrates a free, fluid, label-free style. The opening releases the burning brilliance of clove, immediately refreshed by the licorice-like anise of Chinese star anise; a puff of green, camphoraceous absinthe vibrates the whole with a bursting energy. At its heart, the peppery rose unfolds its incandescent floral quality, already embracing the grain of a leather in filigree. Gradually, the material becomes more tactile: the leathery accord, supple like a patinated jacket, intertwines with dry, smoky vetiver, leaving a distinguished, unisex, infinitely contemporary trail on the skin.
