  Used as a natural preservative that inhibits the development of harmful bacteria without damaging the skin flora. It also increases the efficacy of other preservative agents.

  Helps stabilise the formula and makes the texture more pleasant. Not a problem for human health but not biodegradable and very harmful to the environment.

  Absorbs UV rays. Belonging to the family of quartenary ammoniums, its use in cosmetics is highly regulated: an allergen, it can also be irritating. As its concentration is limited in cosmetics,it is hardly or not at all irritating.

  Acts as a protective barrier and promotes skin elasticity. It has a strong moisturizing effect.

  Although considered the least irritating of the glycols, it can be irritating to individuals with very sensitive skin. However, it improves hydration by attracting water molecules from the environment to the epidermis to moisturise the skin's surface.

  Used for bacteriostatic preservative, the salt of lactic acid has an antimicrobial effect.

• helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil
  Helps replenish, strengthen, and soothe skin. Sunflower oil is particularly beneficial for dry, dehydrated, or damaged skin because it helps repairing its lipidic barrier.
