Biography

Originally from England, Mark Buxton first studied in Hamburg before succumbing to the charm of Paris, where he has lived for more than 20 years. A self-confident hedonist and true epicurean, he began his career at Haarmann & Reimer (now Symrise), before continuing as an independent consultant at Luzi.

With over 25 years of expertise, Mark Buxton has collaborated with some of the most prestigious perfume houses, including Givenchy, Versace, Van Cleef & Arpels, Paco Rabanne, Lagerfeld, Burberry, Cartier and Chopard. Its influence also extends to avant-garde brands like Comme des Garçons, Oddity, Linari Perfumes and 27 87, leaving a bold and distinctive mark on the olfactory universe.

In 2008, Mark Buxton embarked on a solo adventure by founding Mark Buxton Perfumes, a house where he developed a refined universe, imbued with striking modernity. His style, both contrasting and rich, elegantly combines the tradition of English chic with the audacity of a contemporary dandy, while infusing a rock and offbeat energy. With impertinence, he shakes up the codes of luxury.

His obsession with absolute simplicity translates into rigorously written compositions, where each formula, short and punchy, leaves an unforgettable imprint.
