"Seeing is believing; but smelling is being sure" - said the Marquis de Sade; a thought shared by Pauline Abram when she succumbed to the darkest perfumes of our selection. Russian artistic director based in Los Angeles, passionate about Italian neo-realist cinema as well as Renaissance painters, she now shares her top 3 Nose fragrances with dark notes.

Her first crush, the Marquis de Sade's call for olfactory libertinage with Attaquer le Soleil by Etat Libre d'Orange and its woody notes of cedar blending with animal musk. Another of her favourite trail, Angels' Share by Kilian Paris, with its heady scents of rum and vanilla.
