Passionate about the piano and the arts, Jean Jacques studied perfumery at the ISIPCA, then evolved alongside Pierre Bourdon who was his first mentor. In 2019, he joined Caron and became the official perfumer of the brand.

Today, he keeps the brand's heritage alive, bearing many similarities to Caron's founder: they share the same curiosity, the same inveterate taste for travel and the same devotion to his art. Passionate, perfectionist, obstinate... even a little obsessive! "I think about my perfumes all day long, and they wake me up at night," he says.

As soon as he arrived at Caron, the perfumer decided to pay tribute to the rose, queen of flowers and the founder's favourite. He then devoted himself to two themes dear to the house: tobacco, a true symbol of freedom and audacity, with the decadent richness of honey and cistus labdanum notes in Tabac Noir, and the addictive cocoa notes of Tabac Exquis. White flowers also inspired Jean Jacques, who created a variation on orange blossom with Narcisse Blanc, and a spicy trail with Tubéreuse Merveilleuse.
