You both have a background in the traditional beauty industry. Why did you create AYUNA?

There was no particular reason for this change, no reason to abandon our prosperous careers in the traditional beauty industry. No real reason, except for one crucial one: we wanted something different and that was to follow our hearts, our intuition and our dreams.
The idea is that it was necessary to create an eco-luxury cosmetics brand that would provide effective and quality sensory results without sacrificing ecological awareness. Thus AYUNA · Less is Beauty was born, from the fusion of our two minds and our associated skills.

AYUNA’s philosophy is well-aging, in opposition to anti-aging. Could you explain what does it consist of?

Anti-aging implies an intrinsic war against aging, which is negative, combative and unrealistic. Instead AYUNA • Less Is Beauty dares to disrupt this mindset and replaces it with WELL•AGING, a modern and integrated approach to beauty which embraces a lifestyle that promotes aging gracefully.
There is a direct connection between the skin and the brain. In fact, the skin and the brain are nostalgic siblings due to their common origin within the embryo, leading to a close relationship between emotional behavior and a healthy skin.

How do you select your ingredients?

LESS IS BEAUTY has been the driving force behind the formulation criteria - there is a reason behind every ingredient selected for AYUNA. Furthermore, for every ingredient selected special care has been placed on safety analysis, presence of impurities, manufacturing process, as well as environmental ethics.
Plants possess a wide-ranging chemical arsenal. And, thanks to today’s advances in biotechnology, science has opened the door to botanical cosmetics, promising excellent potential for the skin due to precise and effective components created by nature itself.

Could you explain why AYUNA’s products are worth it, compared to other less expensive clean brands?

As an eco-luxury collection, AYUNA was conceived like a conventional premium brand - from our complex bio-Tech formulations, innovative ingredients, sensorial textures & aromas, and high- performance results - but under the premise of clean beauty. Producing such products comes at a more elevated cost, especially for independent companies, and even more so within a ‘clean’ paradigm. We've developed AYUNA specifically for those that are mindful of both the environment and themselves, but who do not want to sacrifice the experience and results that come from a luxury product.

If you could recommend only one of your products, what would it be and why?

The AYUNA creams are our gems and at the core of our skin fasting concept. Their meticulous formulas harness the full power of our scientific garden by incorporating the science of Phyto- peptides and Plasmas rich in Botanical Cell Factors. AYUNA has a very specific scent (and here at Nose, we are totally addicted to it!), could you describe it?

AYUNA’s signature scent is called Beautifulness and is a natural essential-oil based fragrance.
The top note of rosemary awakens the mystery in the fragrance along with a touch of grapefruit and a hint of chamomile leaves.
The heart is entirely floral, elegant and of exceptional quality. Peach blossom, orange blossom and mimosa exquisitely blended with predominant notes of buchu leaf.
Then, the fragrance is enveloped by a warm and woody hint of holy wood and myrrh in its base notes.
