Fantôme de Maules is the first perfume of the Swedish perfume brand Stora Skuggan. First fragrance of a series inspired by stories that come from an ambiguous world between myth and reality. This perfume has taken root in the legend of the "ghost of the forest of Maules" in Switzerland (Gruyère region). In the past 10 years, a person dressed in rags, with a gas mask and a cloak of camouflage has been seen wandering in this forest. No one knows who this character is or why he chose to take refuge in this place. Despite the fact of never threatening anyone, the locals still find this character troubling. The police tried to contact him, but the ghost disappears into the woods as soon as he is feeling observed, not wishing to be seen, obviously. A contemporary yeti with a bouquet of flowers in hand and living in seclusion in this forestry residence is the inspiration for this first fragrance. THE FRAGRANCE Fantôme de Maules took a very long time to be realized, being the pet project of Tomas Hempel, perfumer of Stora Skuggan, who spent more than two years working behind closed doors on the composition of the perfume, bottle and design of the packaging. It is a hybrid formula of fougere and chypre type with oak, lavender and musk forming the skeleton of the perfume. A complex set of forest and green notes that leads to a large and mystical olfactory world.
