Shams Oud invites the Persian God Mithra, master of the daytime sky associated with sovereignty, into the heart of a warm and stunning fragrance. At dawn, on his chariot adorned with gold and notes of ginger oil and cashmeran, he whips his horses to pull the sun, "shams" in Arabic, into the dusk. Later, as pepper oil and saffron mingle with the floral essences of rose and labdanum, Mithra is swallowed by a man as evening comes. Tonka bean, tolu balm and oud bring warmth to the deep night, as a sign of Mithra's return at dawn...
Memo fragrances are the result of a work carried out between the artistic director Clara Molloy and her husband John. The brand, founded in 2007, imagines perfume as a journey and builds its identity around magical destinations and intense raw materials evoking the travel memories of the founders: her, a Parisian poet with Catalan origins; him, and Irish globe-trotter and sportsman.
