The Parisian founder of epidermology, an American chef specialized in healthy (and yummy!) food and a dance star who has become an artistic director, have just visited us at Nose. Joëlle Ciocco, Caleigh Megless and Julie Bruyère have discovered our olfactory diagnostic and unveiled their best advices, their favorite cosmetics and natural ingredients and above all their olfactory memories associated with detox.

Joëlle Ciocco

Nose: What would be your best post-holiday detox tips?

JC: Before and after the holidays, I recommend a small betaine citrate cure every night to cleanse your body. Also, a lighter diet such as a small soup in the evening. Nothing complicated: less is more.

_

Nose: How does your discipline, epidermology, detoxify the skin?

JC: Epidermology is a concept based on the skin’s breathing and the harmony of its cutaneous microbiota. The best detox treatment is therefore determined according to the patient.

_

Nose: What are your 3 favorite products of your brand for the detox?

JC: I recommend starting the morning skincare routine with the Aromatic Lotion, which purifies the skin and removes exsudas from the night with its grapefruit, rosemary and sage sugars. Then, the Skin Defensive Lotion helps protect against oxidative stress and urban pollution in autumn and winter. In the evening, the Lait Onctueux Capital is the best solution to clean and regenerate skin tissues through double cleaning.

_

Nose: And the 3 natural ingredients that you find most useful?

JC: I recommend 3 basic natural ingredients. Lemon, an acid product that has the power to alkalize the body and stabilize its internal pH, especially after a bad diet; thyme, which frees the airways and thus alleviates winter ailments; black radish, the best liver detoxifier after the holidays.

Nose: Your favorite destination for a 360° detox?

JC: I would say Vevey in Switzerland in the wellness center of the Hotel des Trois Couronnes, overlooking the Geneva Lake. I go there to let both my body and mind rest.

Nose: Sounds like a destination from Youth, one of Sorrentino’s masterpieces!

Nose: Detox evokes purity, simplicity. What olfactory notes would you associate with it? Why ?

JC: I associate jasmine, which evokes the detox by its white shades! Also, once cut, the jasmine flowers embellish the place where they are with their relaxing fragrance that promotes sleep and therefore the mental detox.

Julie Bruyère

Nose: What would be your best post-holiday detox tips?

JB: Some good sleep and a cure of black radish or artichoke bulb, to help the liver cleanse and detoxify and to obtain a beautiful skin. Finally, drink plenty of water.

_

Nose: You are both a dancer and artistic director for luxury brands. What are your best fitness tips?

JB: I think all outdoor sports are great for emptying. Jogging is for me one of the most complete sports. Running allows you to dry but also to recharge your batteries, breathe, feel alive by being part of the nature and our environment.

_

Nose: What are your favorite cosmetics for detox, among our selection?

JB: First, Grown Alchemist's Detox Night Cream: its light texture allows it to rehydrate my skin with soothing almond notes. Even though I usually like richer creams, this one really surprised me. Also, I really like Suzanne Kaufmann's Healing Earth Mask, which gives me the impression of returning to the roots of the earth.

Nose: Your favorite destination for a 360 ° detox?

JB: Menorca and its Unesco-protected areas, the Mediterranean smells, the extraordinary beaches, the pine forests, horseback riding along the coast, hiking ... A sublime island, yet discreet. I stayed at an extremely relaxing hotel, the Agroturismo Ses Talaies.

Caleigh Megless

Nose : What would be your best advice for a post-holiday detox?

CM : Dandelions! They are a great herbal remedy and efficient liver cleanser and purifier. A natural diuretic, dandelions reduce inflammation in the body. Fresh dandelion flowers are a beautiful and healthy ingredient that can be added to salads and the bitter roots can be simmered in hot water to make an herbal tea.

_

Nose: You are a chef specialized in healthy (and yummy) food. What are your preferred ingredients in order to detoxify the skin?

CM: Red cabbage for wrinkles. Watercress for circulation. Beets for beauty. Citrus for cleansing.

_

Nose: What are your favorite detox cosmetics among the Nose selection?

CM: I'm a big fan of the Grown Alchemist Detox Serum. As a chef, I'm constantly creating dishes that will help balance the body. For me it's important to chose a quality product that will help maintain and protect my skin on the outside as well. Also, I love the Herbal Whey Bath by Susanne Kaufmann: I just had a baby, and this bath is so relaxing while Phil takes care of Nova.

Nose: What is your favorite destination for a 360° detox?

CM: I would recommend the Ebbio Hotel in Tuscany! It's a fantastic organic farm that offers yoga retreats and quiet getaways for anyone looking to deconnect in nature.

Nose: Detox evokes purity and simplicity. What olfactory notes would you associate to it? Why?

CM: Anything with clean citrus notes such as lemon, grapefruit, and lime, aquatic notes and herbal notes like fresh cut flowers!
