Surfactants are very effective detergents used in cosmetic washing products and household products. While synthetic surfactants can cause allergies and irritations, those made from renewable raw materials (e.g. plants, sugar, amino acids) are gentler and less harmful to health and the environment.

Polymer derived from plastic. Combines water and oil phases to give a smooth consistency to cosmetics.

aluminum starch octenylsuccinate
(aluminum starch octenylsuccinate)

Aluminium salt used in cosmetics for its absorbing properties. Although aluminium is considered to be neurotoxic, no study has shown the toxicity of this salt in cosmetics.

May cause skin and eye irritations. Quaternary ammonium salts used as disinfectants, surfactants, softeners and antistatic agents. No European regulations concerning this ingredient. Its dosage is limited.

Boosts the emulsification process and improves the stability of the formula. Leaves the skin soft and supple.

Has antibacterial, highly nourishing and healing properties.

Improves the appearance of the skin by smoothing and firming, providing protection against sun damage and reducing the appearance of spots, wrinkles and stretch marks.

Derived from the essential oil of chamomile flowers or Vanillosmopsis Erythropappa flowers and soothes the skin and calms irritations.

borago officinalis (borage) seed oil

Balances and visibly improves skin hydration, making it more supple and soft.

Has a double action: perfumes and regenerates the skin.

Endocrine disruptor causing a semi-occlusive effect that can lead to hormonal disruption. It protects the ingredients of the formula from oxidation and preserves their functions. The toxic effects reported have been observed in the case of abnormal use of a cosmetic (too high a concentration, oral ingestion), and less harmful in rinsed products.
