Maison Margiela
Founded in Paris in 1988, this haute-couture house is marked by an iconoclastic character: the codes' deconstruction and reinvention mark both the creations of the white-coats workshop and the olfactory ones. Maison Margiela is a "family" in which the collective replaces the creator.

When the designer asks perfumer Daniela Andrier to create his first perfume, he imagines a green flash. Thus, in 2010, the house presents Untitled, a gender-fluid overdose of galbanum and iris. Then comes the Replica collection, where each perfume is stamped with the provenance and period of the collective memory it evokes: a New York jazz club, a walk by the sea, a sailing day, a cosy Sunday morning ...
