Knize

The Knize house of perfume was founded in Vienna in 1858 by the fashion designer J. Knize, who was soon appointed official supplier of the royal family. At the end of the 19th century, several heads of state, artists and industrialists were already part of Knize's clientele.
In the 1920s, when the brand became extremely popular, Dryden was appointed the brand's designer and launched the first gentleman line in Paris, including the eau de toilette Ten. Its name corresponds to the maximum score that can be achieved in polo, practiced by the British aristocracy. As a symbol of the elegance of the 1920s, Knize assumed the following motto: "one can recognize the intelligence of a man by his conversation, and his style by Knize."
