The new Cologne absolue of Atelier Cologne celebrates the richness and freshness of Calabrian bergamot.

At the bottom of the Italian boot in the Calabria region, bergamot has been cultivated since the eighteenth century.

There are several stories that try to explain the origin of bergamot. One is that it was introduced in Europe via the Orient and its name was derived from the Turkish word armudi beg or "pear of the lord." But another theory is that the bergamot was brought to Europe from the Canary Islands by Christopher Columbus and the name derived from the city of Berga, north of Barcelona.

According to its legend, bergamot shows us where the fairies are born at full moon.

Embark on an adventure and cover yourself with the freshness of Calabrian bergamot, lime, grapefruit, musk, lily of the valley and cedar.
