In 2019 entrepreneurs Svante Holm and Alban Mayne set out on a mission. It was a journey that took them to French mountaintops with botanists by their side; one that led to lengthy, thought-provoking conversations with scent artisans and beauty experts; and one that culminated - two years on - in the creation of a range of premium beauty bars unlike anything that is currently on the market.

The French and Swedish co-founders wanted to disrupt an industry that relies heavily on plastic, but they didn't just want to do that by creating shampoo, conditioner, body and shaving bars that are eco-conscious. They set out to create consciously crafted solid bars that aim to redefine the beauty space by showing that beauty can be plastic free and conscious yet also luxurious and amazing to use.

“When some people think of sustainability they think of having to compromise on quality or the experience, but for us that is not the case,” said Mayne. “We are obsessed with selecting the finest natural ingredients and crafting our bars in the most conscious way. We benchmark all our bars against the absolute highest regarded liquid brands. So, with Beauty Disrupted you really can have your cake and eat it too. You will have a luxury experience while knowing your shower choice is contributing to the well-being of the planet.”

All bars use 100% organic scents from Grasse, with the blends used in each collection designed to create an experience of the location that inspired them. Amazonian Amour, with its notes of jasmine, orange blossom, frangipani flower and vanilla, embodies the incredible rainforests. Ocean Magic, scented with sea fennel, Calabrian bergamot and island flowers, is a nod to our majestic oceans. Alpine Glow’s refreshing blend of eucalyptus, rosemary and pine are reminiscent of towering mountains and glaciers..

Beauty Disrupted’s products are all consciously crafted in the South of France using 100% renewable energy. All bars are free of harsh components and instead are made using the finest natural ingredients such as organic camelina oil from the South of France and sustainably sourced Inca Inchi oil from Peru. The bars are packaged in premium recycled and recyclable cardboard, created by a fourth-generation box maker in the same beautiful region that the bars are made in. The company also completely avoids plastic in their bars and packaging, leading Scandinavian MIND magazine to aptly describe the brand as, “No plastic, still fantastic.”

We here at Nose agree. “I absolutely love Beauty Disrupted’s luxurious hair care and beauty bars,” said Nicolas Cloutier, CEO of Nose. “Their products are re-defining the entire beauty bar space!”

Beauty Disrupted also gives 20% of its profit to organizations that protect the planet and combat climate change.

“We have spent significant parts of our lives on the oceans, in the mountains and in untouched jungles, and we want to do our part to ensure future generations can enjoy the same incredible experiences that we have,” said Holm. “We started Beauty Disrupted because we wanted to create a truly luxurious product while also making a positive impact. It is an incredible journey to be on!”
